Probiotic Olives

Did you know that green olives have a probiotic and prebiotic effect on your body and digestive tract when you eat them? They also increase amounts of lactobacillus. In addition to this they reduce oxidative stress  and inflammation. You need to have 12 olives everyday for 30 days for this to have an effect.

Marinated Olives Recipe:

  • Cup of green olives

  • small handful of coriander leaves finely chopped

  • small handful of parsley finely choppped

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • sprinkle of coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • squeeze of lemon juice

  • 1 crushed garlic clove

  • pinch of salt

  • olive oil - enough to get a good consistency

Mix the above and add the olives to it.
