Warm Chocolate Green Smoothie
I love my green smoothie, but on a chilly morning, like today, I prefer something a little more warming!! Try my warm chocolate green smoothie - you wouldn't know there are any greens in it & its actually really yum AND rather good for you!
Ingredients:
2-3 medjool dates (depending on how sweet you like it)
1/4 tsp macha green tea powder (wake up call!!)
1 large heaped tablespoon raw cacao powder (did you know raw cacao powder has 20 times more antioxidants than blueberries ... and 4 times that of dark chocolate and if you choose a raw variety all the nutrients are still in tact - whats not to love about it...)
1 cup milk of your choice (I use almond or hemp)
pinch of cayenne pepper (gives it a little kick and helps your circulation - keeping you warm)
A couple of kale leaves or a handful of spinach (or any other green leafy veg)
optional: you could add half a banana for some added sweetness and if you like a thicker consistency to your smoothie
Put in in a high speed blender fro 2-3 mins until its all whizzed up and warm!!
